Three dos and don'ts in a battle situation.

Posted by 32ndmir May. 19, 2008 @ 11:11 PM EDT

Do number one, check your flanks. Do number two, make sure the enemy doesn't check theirs. Do number three, when you're done kicking ass, start ass raping. Don't number one, NEVER say it's "too quiet" or it won't be quiet for long. Don't number two, never shoot the surrendering. Don't number three, DO NOT kiss your ass goodbye.

Just in case

Posted by 32ndmir Apr. 10, 2008 @ 8:46 PM EDT

These are some basic tips in dogfighting that most should know, but just in case you weren't filled in on the knolege just because someone was an asshole and didn't realize that no one ever talks about common knolege, one way to keep the advantage of supprise in a dogfight is to make sure the sun is behind you and the enemy infront and he shouldn't be able to see you, if he does it's just a shadow. Another thing is never trade luck for skill... NEVER... -_-' And the final tip for today, make sure you always keep an energy advantage (speed) and hight. ^.^

One problem I face alot is how to react in a bomber against enemy fighters or flak, one thing you should remember is when you face bandits (I.E. fighters) you should try to spread out your formation in order to keep the fighters from hitting one plane then imidiatly moving to the next, where as when it comes to SPAAA fire (I.E. Self Propeled Anti Aircraft Artillery A.K.A. Flak you know the stuff that goes boom in the skies like fireworks) you should try to close in your formation so you have mutual protection from the schrapnel coming from the AAA (you know so you don't end up like the guys in the picture).

Advanced Flanking

Posted by 32ndmir Apr. 5, 2008 @ 11:46 PM EDT

This is a tactic that is taken too lightly in the gamers world. It's called flanking, and it's rather easy but once you try to apply it to actual situations it's rather complicated. The hardest part is trying to make using fire and manuver based tactics a habit. Here's how this tactic works, first you need two elements or you might know it as a squad or team, second are assigned weapons and element types you have the fire element with a fire team leader, a rifleman, a squad automatic weapon (or SAW for short) then you need a grenedier (it's prefered that you give him a M203 type grenade launcher the AK-47 version is the GP-30) as for the assault element you need an assault team leader, one rifleman, a demolitions expert, and a medic (just in case). Now that you know everything you need here is what you actualy do in the situation, first with the fire element you lay supressing fire, second with your assault element you move around the OpFor (opposing force) you have four diffrent posible fire positons vertical, that is above your target, the six that is behind the OpFor and the sides, you should know what that is unless you are retarded. Then you finish off the OpFor with the Assault Element, this is a tactic that works and if you take it lightly and you have enemys using it, you are going to either get remarkably lucky (then again luck favors the stupid) or you are going to have to come up with a reversal tactic. And as always good luck this is the 32nd Mechanized giving the idiots support.

Ace fighter pilots up the yin-yang

Posted by 32ndmir Apr. 5, 2008 @ 11:30 PM EDT

Now I don't only play FPS but I also play flight combat simulators like Aces High II and Il-2 Sturmovick, and the thing I find most irrational is fighting twenty to fifty enemy ace fighter pilots alone. Now I have been doing these games since way the hell back when so I understand how to hold my own in a dogfight but in many cases you will find yourself in a situation that you are surrounded by countless fighters, the way to deal with this is try to learn how to handle a turning fight in even the worst turning aircraft (that including the B-17s and bombers like it) and also how to keep up your airspeed. Stay in the middle of the enemy formations so that way as they come flying at you they have to keep an eye out so as not to hit their own guys with friendly fire (and not to have a midair collision of course) as for you all you really need to do is make sure you're hitting anything that moves because you're alone. In one situation that happened recently to me I was playing Il-2 Sturmovick that I mentioned earlyier I was chasing down a Russian made aircraft in a Japanese Zero, I chased him down for about a minute before I noticed that I had a crap load of fighters behind me, I took down sevral aircraft and multiple unconfirmed. Remember what I said here, it may have been alot to take down at once but it can help.

Sniper problems. -_-

Posted by 32ndmir Apr. 5, 2008 @ 11:12 PM EDT

I'm a gamer and I play a huge number of FPS, and FPS lead to sniper issues. -_- I found out that the best way to deal with a sniper is to call in an airstrike to suppress the sniper then manuver into a good shooting position that you can see the sniper but he can't see you. It usualy works unless you're dealing with those kind of snipers that are cold to the touch (these guys are usualy real snipers). If you want to deal with those who have real sniper training then you want to have a huge amount of time on your hands, these guys are trained to wait for days, weeks, and even months. The trick to killing these guys is you have to know how to hide, wait, and shoot with one shot one kill (you also need someone with a snipe rifle or anti material rifle in your squad) but things will be tense if you fight these guys...

Your Captain

Posted by 32ndmir Mar. 9, 2008 @ 12:08 PM EDT

Hello, my name is Ian and I will be your captain today. If you have any questions be sure to contact me. I will have you know this is a non-smoking plane. If you look off to the right of the plane you will see the space needle, and if you look off to the left of the plane you will see the number one engine on fire. ^.^ Oh, wait... Fuck... -_-'
